Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced that spectators will be allowed to attend all playoff matches of the Pakistan Super League 2026.
Naqvi shared the update on X after a meeting with Shehbaz Sharif, confirming that the Prime Minister has approved public attendance for all three playoff fixtures. However, he emphasized a key condition: fans are strongly encouraged to use public transport or limit fuel consumption in line with ongoing national austerity measures.
This decision follows an earlier announcement permitting crowd attendance for the final, scheduled for May 3 at Gaddafi Stadium.
The league stage of PSL 2026 had been conducted behind closed doors due to government-imposed fuel conservation policies amid the West Asia crisis. Additionally, the tournament—initially planned across six cities—was restricted to Lahore and Karachi.
The latest development comes just over 24 hours before the Qualifier between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United in Karachi. According to reports, PCB officials are currently finalizing ticketing and logistical arrangements.
Eliminator 1 will take place in Lahore on Wednesday, featuring Multan Sultans against Hyderabad Kingsmen. Eliminator 2 is scheduled for Friday at the same venue, between the Qualifier’s losing side and the winner of Eliminator 1.
